Biography
Hi there! I’m thrilled you’re here and exploring ways to enrich your life and relationships. I’m a dedicated therapist with over 25 years of heart-driven experience, here to guide you and your partner toward a deeper connection and understanding. My journey has taken me from working with families, couples, and youth at Chatham-Kent Children’s Services as a therapist and clinical manager to empowering individuals like you.
I hold a Master of Social Work degree from Wayne State University and a Bachelor of Social Work degree from the University of Windsor. I am a registered professional member of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.
My toolbox is packed with approaches like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Trauma and Attachment-informed therapies.
I’ve walked alongside many individuals and couples through the ups and downs of relationships, parenting challenges, the rollercoaster of emotions like anxiety and low mood, and much more. Whether it’s working through grief, managing anger, boosting self-esteem, or navigating family conflict, I’m here for you.
My Approach
I believe in creating a space where you feel respected, heard, and valued – a haven to express yourself and explore your thoughts and feelings. I am committed to empowering my clients to lead fulfilled lives collaboratively by offering personalized and evidence-based mental health care.
I will work with my client to develop a plan to overcome obstacles, heal from trauma and abuse, overcome challenges, and grow as a person. I will utilize my 25 years of experience to provide my clients with evidence-based counselling to promote positive mental health in children, adults, and families.
I look forward to connecting with you and starting this transformative adventure together!
